Portrait Society Gallery of Contemporary Art is one of Milwaukee's leading art galleries, known for
progressive and socially engaged exhibitions and programming.
In its 11th year, the gallery represents a lively roster of primarily mid-career artists in all media.
PSG's curatorial mission is to engage a broad range of artists in conversations that cross
demarcations of age, race, gender, education, and economics.
The gallery and many of its artists are known nationally and have received press in publications
ranging from the New York Times, Art Forum, Forbes, Whitehot Magazine, Hyperallergic, and
Harper's Baazar.
Gallery Director Debra Brehmer is a writer, curator, and art historian.
